Certain projects call for a more minimalist approach. Erik Satie was a pioneer in such atmospheres, calling them (with a touch of self-deprecation) “furniture music.” These selected excerpts were originally created for dances by Brian Brooks Moving Company and the choreographer Elizabeth Higgins.
