I enjoy experimenting with styles ranging from waltz, bluegrass, ragtime & stride, French musette, klezmer, to name a few. The selections at right were used in collaboration with the modern dance group, Ariane Anthony & Company, as well as filmmaker Alister Sanderson. Click for personnel
Atmospheric/Ambient
Certain projects call for a more minimalist approach. Erik Satie was a pioneer in such atmospheres, calling them (with a touch of self-deprecation) “furniture music.” These selected excerpts were originally created for dances by Brian Brooks Moving Company and the choreographer Elizabeth Higgins.
